Neurotoxins
-
Botox, Dysport + Jeuveau are FDA-approved neuromodulators that use botulinum toxin to temporarily reduce muscle activity and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Although they have similar goals and work in the same way, there are some differences between them that may influence your choice of treatment.

-
Repeated muscle movements, such as frowning or squinting, can lead to wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. To address this, neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport + Jeuveau are used to temporarily relax the muscles responsible for these movements. By reducing muscle contractions, these neurotoxins prevent the formation of new wrinkles and soften existing ones. The temporary muscle relaxation allows the skin to rest and rebuild collagen, promoting a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable substances used to add volume and contour various areas of the face. They can help address concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of facial volume. The types of dermal fillers available vary in composition and longevity. We use dermal fillers from the Juvederm, Restylane, and RHA portfolios. Each type serves a specific purpose, allowing us to tailor your treatment to you.

After your consultation, your provider may administer a local anesthetic and apply ice to the area before injecting dermal fillers into specific target areas of the face using a fine needle or cannula. The filler contains hyaluronic acid, which attracts water, aiding in plumping the skin and diminishing the appearance of wrinkles.
